About The designer

nathan barilka
graphic designer

My creative edge started in high school, at Kent School (Kent, CT) where I began studying photography and multimedia design. Afterwards, I found myself in Philadelphia, PA where I enrolled in the Drexel University 5 year co-op program where I graduated with a BS in Graphic Design. My studies included (but were not limited to) web design, logo design, poster design, black & white photography, advanced photography techniques (film & digital), motion graphics, 3d modeling & design and interactive media. To expand my knowledge, I also elected into classes involving film development, filming, production and performance. Soon after my graduation, I moved to Los Angeles where I continue to develop my design skills and portfolio.

I work mainly on a freelance basis on projects ranging from website and logo design to print work including stickers and banner design. I try to stay current with software and programming languages as they so often change.

Below is a list of software that I use:

Adobe Family (CS4): Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Flash, After Effects, Premiere PRO, Sound Booth, Bridge, Acrobat

Microsoft: Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook

Other: QuarkXPress 8, Swift 3D v.5, 3D Studio Max, Core FTP
